A Different Game is an award-winning games studio that focuses on innovative, social games for a new wider gaming audience. The primary platforms are the web, downloadable content for consoles, and hand-held devices. The company believes in games that are intertwined with real life through new smart user interfaces.

The company is founded by veterans from the traditional video gaming, mobile gaming and casual gaming industries.

The Team

Tom Söderlund (CEO and Executive Producer)

In 2000 he co-founded the games studio It’s Alive, famous for the location-based game BotFighters, and has managed mobile games publishing in EU at Oberon Media and Synergenix/Blaze, as well as games production at Daydream. Main interest is in emerging game formats, such as pervasive mobile games, alternate reality games, proximity games, and serious games.

Martin Forsling (Chairman)

Creative manager with an extensive network. Has worked in leading position in the mobile gaming industry for companies like Synergenix (CEO), Blaze (GM EU/Asia), Oberon Media (head of mobile EU/Asia), and Polarbit (management consultant). Serial entrepreneur within technology, gaming and media industries. Holds an executive MBA from London Business School as well as a Master’s in Computer Science. Has worked in the mobile gaming industry since 2001.

Anders Bergman (Creative Director)

Passionated for usability, great game design and community features. Anders has a past with Synergenix, Oberon, and Utero Digital Media. Been involved in games development for the last 10 years. Has a university degree in Interactive Media Design and programming.

Martin Ohlsson (CTO)

Technical manager and developer for those “impossible-to-solve” problems. Martin has an extensive background in solving calculation intensive operations in constrained hardware. He has worked in the mobile games industry, in the mobile telecommunications industry, with graphical visualizations and also with positioning/accelerometer systems for racing applications.
